BROOKLYN HEIGHTS TOWNHOUSE
When a New York City townhouse needed a transformation, I was proud to retain its 100-year-old charm and give it a vigorous lift. We created a combined dining and living space from the formal parlor by adding a custom corner seating area to provide multiple-use areas for today’s modern family. The living room walls are combed and tinted plaster that complement the sky-blue ceiling. Cream velvet upholstery, geometric patterns, and silk rugs complement the dramatic lighting fixtures, modern art, and unexpected vintage elements. This quietly luxurious room evokes a calm and sensible elegance. For the family area, colorful abstract art complements the graphic patterned drapery and an exuberantly playful color palette for this young family.
