For this Riverside Drive residence overlooking the Hudson River, my goal for these young clients was to create a complementary palette – reds, blues, lemons, and limes – and to compose the colors into an established rhythm. Splashes of citrus among amber walls and bold-colored furnishings blend with strong stripes. I transformed a cookie-cutter three-bedroom, giving each room its own character, and the apartment successfully dovetails many colors and patterns. That diversity, along with modern furniture and arrangements, makes the space both simultaneously intimate and expansive.
